Jackson Evans

Jackson Evans was always destined to be a racer.

He grew up at rally events around the country and experienced the work ethic needed to be successful from his father Simon on almost a daily basis.

He was just 12 when Simon won his first Australian Rally Championship in 2006 and enjoyed the ride with three more national championships in the next four years.

Jackson finally got his first real taste of competition when he filled in for his dad in a SXS event in Shepparton in 2016.

He wasted no time getting to the front and won a couple of heat races before his car broke in the final and he was deemed 10th outright for the weekend.

Fast-forward three years and Jackson had put himself in a position to contest his first full SXS season and, again, he did not waste his opportunity.

While the season had its highs and lows he got the job done in the final round to clinch his first national crown.

The championship was shelved in 2020 because of COVID-19, so Jackson heads into the 2021 KINCOME Motorsport Australia SXS Championship as the defending champion.

While Evans Motorsport has always been a family affair, Jackson strengthened those ties when he married his co-driver Claudia a week before the opening round of the 2021 season.
